FileGrab is designed to be the fastest way to share files. Here’s everything you need to know to get started.
Your First File Share (30 Seconds)
Step 1: Get Your Link
Go to filegrab.link. Your shareable link is already ready at the top of the page.
No uploading needed yet. No account required.
Step 2: Copy the Link
Click the Copy button next to the URL. The link is now in your clipboard.
Step 3: Share It
Paste the link in an email, chat, or anywhere else. Your recipients can open it right now - they’ll see a “waiting for files” message until you add content.
Step 4: Add Your Files
Drag and drop files anywhere on the page. Or click to browse your computer.
That’s it. Files appear for recipients in real-time as they upload.

Tips for Better File Sharing
1. Share the Link Early
Since the link works before you upload, share it right away. Recipients can bookmark it or watch for files to appear.
2. Use Descriptive Names
Rename files before uploading so recipients know what they’re downloading. “Final_v3_approved.pdf” is better than “doc1.pdf”.
3. Keep It Organized
If sharing many files, consider:
- Uploading a ZIP for large collections
- Creating separate links for different topics
- Adding files in logical order
4. Check Your Storage
Free users have 100MB. If you’re running low:
- Wait for old links to expire (7 days)
- Upgrade to Pro for 10GB
- Create new links as old ones expire
Common Questions
Can I delete a file after uploading?
Pro users can delete individual files. Free users can wait for the link to expire (7 days).
Can I add more files later?
Yes! You can add files to a link anytime before it expires.
Can recipients upload to my link?
By default, links are collaborative - anyone with the link can add files. Pro users can disable this per link.
What happens when a link expires?
Files are automatically deleted from our servers. The link stops working.
Can I extend a link’s expiry?
Pro users can extend links or set them to never expire. Free links expire after 7 days.
